This Cookie Policy explains how Clear Ascend OÜ ('Journi', 'we', 'us' or 'our') uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and pixels. We group them by purpose below.
When you first visit, a banner lets you Accept, Reject or Configure non-essential cookies. Rejecting is as easy as accepting. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off because the site cannot work without them. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the site's storage in your browser; non-essential technologies (such as maps) load only after you consent. The one exception is the affiliate tracking described under "Travel affiliate partners" below, which runs on our home page without waiting for consent; you can prevent it by blocking third-party scripts or cookies in your browser, and declining it does not limit any part of Journi.
Always active. They keep you signed in, remember your cart and search, and secure the platform. Examples: token (session), journi_bag, journi_search_options, journi_filter_options, journi_calendar_*, and the journi_cookie_consent record of your choice. Payment security cookies set by Stripe during checkout (e.g. __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid) are also strictly necessary to process payments and prevent fraud.
To show where an experience takes place, we load Google Maps, a third-party service that may set its own cookies. These load only after you consent to the "Maps" category. If you do not consent, maps simply will not be shown.
Our home page shows hotel and car-hire suggestions that link to third-party travel sites. If you book through one of them, we may receive a commission from the partner at no extra cost to you.
Our hotel links are handled by Stay22 (stay22.com): selecting a stay sends you through Stay22, which forwards you to a booking site and records that we referred you. That redirect happens only when you click a hotel — nothing is loaded or tracked while you simply browse the page — and Stay22 may set its own cookies at that point under its own privacy policy. Bookings made this way are credited to us.
Car hire is booked through the engine on our car-hire page, operated by our partner Class Rent a Car, which handles your rental contract and payment under its own terms.
We no longer load any affiliate script while you browse: the tracking now happens at the partner's site after you click, so no advertising identifier is set on Journi itself.
We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies of our own. This category is reserved so that, if we adopt such tools in future, they will load only with your prior consent.
Some providers (for example Google) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are applied, as described in our Privacy Policy.
